L. Michael Hellums was born in 1962 in Robstown, Texas, where he still resides today with Marilyn, his wife of twenty years, and his two wonderful sons, Michael Mason and Michael Miles.
Over the last few years, he has become a renowned artist. He has done several pieces of public artwork that are displayed throughout the city of Corpus Christi, Texas, and hundreds of whimsical pieces of art that have come to be known as creations from Mikey’s World.
In most of his adult life, he’s been told by friends and family that he seems to live in his own little world from hence comes the stories from Mikey’s World.
